Melody Ladrido is a Vallejo native whose basketball journey took her from Vallejo High School to San Joaquin Delta College and ultimately Hawai‘i Pacific University. At HPU, she grew from a role player into a key contributor, nearly doubling her scoring average by her junior year and earning respect as a dynamic guard and leader. Known for her relentless competitiveness, grit, and speed on the court, Melody’s story is one of perseverance and resilience—proof that with discipline and determination, any player can rise and make their mark. With over a decade of playing experience, she continues to inspire young athletes to believe in themselves, showing that with passion and dedication, growth and opportunity are always within reach.

Beyond her playing career, Melody has shared her love of the game through coaching—serving as an assistant varsity coach at Carondelet High School, a coach for the Vision team, and a trainer of basketball athletes of all ages and skill levels.
